Can you believe we only have six months until Christmas. Seriously. I am freaking out. I have only purchased three things. I should have much more then that done. I should be getting close to half done. I make over half of my Christmas Presents every year and I have not started. Once we moved into this new house I did not know where I was going to set up my sewing/craft area. Well I finally made my decision. I am going to have my sewing/craft area in the same room as my office. But it needs some cleaning up.

I have set the Small table up so that I can set my sewing machine on it.  We plan on getting me a sewing table but until I find the prefect sewing table.  Under the small table I set up is a blue bin full of material that I will start using for my many upcoming Christmas Projects.

My Love of Reading

The Manning Sisters

The Sheriff Takes a Wife

By Debbie Macomber

Photobucket“The first day Christy Manning, visits her sister, Taylor, she meets Sheriff Cody Franklin. To Christy’s shock – and Cody’s- they’re immediately attracted to each other. Intensely attracted. There’s a problem though, Christy’s engagement to someone else, someone back in Seattle. So what’s the solution? See what happens when The Sheriff takes a wife….”

I truly love a good series. The Book the Manning sisters starts off with a great book Called “The Cowboy’s Lady.” And this picks right up where that book left off but focusing on Taylor’s sister Christy and the Sheriff Cody. Debbie has outdone herself with this book. Through the whole book you wonder if Christy and Cody are going to hook up or if she is going to end up marrying James. Once she returns to Seattle you are sure that she will end up marrying James out of obligation instead of love, but Cody just cannot love the one person he has ever loved with his whole heart. Cody goes to Seattle and …….. Yes I am going to leave you in suspense. This is one book you are going to have to read because it does not end how you think it will.

In The Manning Sisters you briefly meet the Manning brothers. Well Guess what. We get to meet the Manning Brothers and their brides. I cannot wait to meet them and get to know that brothers better.

“Debbie Macomber is an amazing author with a power to bring you right into the setting like you are there. Debbie brings me into a small town and makes you feel like part of the town and family you are reading about. Another Great book Debbie. And I can ‘t wait for the next one.”

My Routine

I had a wonderful lady email me the other day after she read my post on routines over at The Household Helper. I love my routines and I have routines for my routines. But I have to warn you that when I get out of a routine I totally freak out. I am a stressed out mess and have to run to my organizing Coach Cara or My life Coach Aurelia to straighten me back out. Well that last week or so my routine was all out of wack. That is because summer is here, kids are out of school, we just moved, we are going on vacation, and we go camping every other weekend. And silly me did not have my routine in place for the new home and all the new adventures we have gone on in the last month of our lives and the months to come. So after receiving this email from her I decided it was time to sit down and make my new routine for the day. Here it is and I am sticking to it:

  • 8 ~ 8:30 wake up, shower, and start a load of laundry
  • 8:30 ~ 9 Breakfast, wipe down kitchen, change laundry around, and make sure everyone is going to be occupied for the next 3 hours (hubby is home in the mornings so this is his time with the kids)
  • 9 ~ 12 Work (I own Time Saver VA)
  • 12 ~ 12:30 Lunch Time, Wipe down kitchen, Clean up after kids
  • 12:30 ~ 2 Spend time with whole family
  • 2~ 5 Work, (this is also the time haylee works on her summer home school, and Haylee also has no tv time so she works on school work and uses her imaganation)
  • 5 ~ 7 Dinner time, clean up time, wipe down kitchen, fold Laundry (still no tv time), pick up the house and do my weekly and daily routines
  • 7 ~ 8 we play games, read, crafts, all kinds of fun stuff (still no tv time)
  • 8 ~ 9 Evening routine, put laundry away, pick up house, haylee bath time and haylee’s bed time
  • 9 ~ 9:30 Computer personal time
  • 9:30 ~ 10 quiet time, I read my bible and do bible studies
  • 10~ until I put my book down reading time. Depends how late I stay up on how good the book is.

Remember this is my summer schedule in the winter and when school starts it is totally different.

Tackle It Tuesday

Photobucket

Well now that we are finally settled in our house it is time to get back in the swing of things. And I have to say that I am totally ready to get back into it. We have been out of our schedule for so long now that it will probley take us forever but we are on a mission here. So we are going to tackle getting back on our schedule.

The other thing I would like to tackle is now that summer is here and the kids are out of school and not learning something it is time to start our summer school. My kids go to a public school but in the summer we home school three days a week. Monday, Wed, and Thursdays. We work for 2-3 hours a day. We work from work books, we read, and we do experiments. I found a great summer special report to go with our summer activities. Christina from Surviving from Home has a great summer ecourse that has awesome stuff to do with the kids. Each week she sends out a new report with tons of fun things to do. All you need to do is sign up for her ecourse.
